Job Purpose
This internship focuses on developing an exhibition for the WOMAD festival that highlights Action Village India’s work, and supports the team during the weekend of the festival.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- WOMAD Exhibition Support
- Attend planning meetings for the exhibition.
- Research the theme of the exhibition.
- Support the preparation, design, creation and installation of the exhibition.
- Event Management
- Support event management duties as required.
- Work with AVI staff, trustees and volunteers at WOMAD Festival 24–29 July 2024.
- Office Support
- Assist with day‑to‑day office work, including communications with enquirers and supporters and the online gift shop.
- Support the production and printing of leaflets, appeals and fundraising materials.
- Help with distribution of mailings, appeals, newsletters and membership materials.
- Create content for various social media platforms.
General Responsibilities

Terms of Internship
- Voluntary position. AVI covers travel expenses within London and lunch costs for days worked in the office (up to £10 a day). All expenses must be itemised with receipts.
- Cost of WOMAD ticket and travel will be covered.
- Training and supervision will be provided during the internship period.
Accessibility
Our office is on the second floor with a narrow staircase and no lift, which may not be suitable for individuals with additional accessibility needs. We welcome inquiries regarding work‑from‑home arrangements if required.
