Location: London, UK (mainly remote working but to include some travel which is covered)

Unpaid work placement with the view for role to potentially become permanent.

About the Role

As an Employment Adviser, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to individuals seeking employment, helping them to identify and secure suitable job opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial assessments of clients to determine their employment needs and goals
  • Provide one‐on‐one support and guidance to clients in developing job search strategies, CV writing, and interview skills
  • Identify suitable job opportunities for clients based on their skills, experience, and interests
  • Liaise with employers to promote job opportunities and arrange interviews for clients
  • Support clients in completing job applications and preparing for interviews
  • Provide ongoing support to clients during their job search process, including follow‐up after interviews
  • Maintain accurate and up‐to‐date records of client interactions and progress
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop and deliver workshops and training sessions on employability skills
  • Keep up‐to‐date with labour market trends and changes in employment legislation to provide relevant and accurate advice to clients
  • Build and maintain relationships with local employers to develop job opportunities for clients
  • Attend job fairs and networking events to promote our services and build partnerships with employers
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our services through feedback and suggestions

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Driven to achieve results
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
  • A positive and empathetic attitude towards clients from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
