We are an Accountancy Practice based in Camden and are now looking to hire an enthusiastic and motivated Accounts Admin Intern. If you are a self‑motivated individual with secretarial and admin experience or wish to gain experience, then please get in touch. This internship suits a finance, accounting or related field graduate hoping to gain experience within the sector.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- As a first point of contact, you will answer all the incoming calls and direct it to the correct personal, within the department.
- You will provide extensive support to the company director in terms of customer service, data management & deadlines.
- Provide diary management for the director – booking appointments, meetings, travel (occasionally).
- Sorting out incoming and outgoing daily post and answering any queries.
- Filing and scanning of documents to keep in the company’s database.
- Credit Control – preparing invoices, sending invoices to clients and chasing payments.
- Register clients for Self‑Assessment, prepare and digitally file letter of engagements.
- Chase up Self‑Assessment, PAYE & VAT registration with the HMRC.
- In charge of incorporating new limited companies.
- Create and maintain client’s data.
- Assist staff with day‑to‑day running of the company by providing various admin tasks.
Key Skills Required
- Good IT and problem‑solving skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
- Experience in using accounting software is preferred, but not essential.
