Would you like to gain experience with one of Campaign’s World Leading Independent Agencies? Are you looking to be part of a fast-paced, purpose-driven, diverse and international team? At Make Honey, whether you’re an intern or the MD, you’ll be getting hands‑on experience with global client work. There will be plenty of opportunities to learn from the rest of the team, receive guidance and mentorship, and gain valuable practical experience, develop skills and grow your confidence. One day you might be tasked to design an infographic for an international mobile phone launch, another to create social posts for a fitness brand and the following to typeset a project for a world‑renowned B2B tech company. Other exciting projects have included storyboarding campaign videos for a new RoboVac launch and a state‑of‑the‑art smart health device, and our whole team is involved in Make Honey’s social cause initiatives. For June, we’ll be celebrating Pride month with internal workshops and more. In other words, as part of the Make Honey team, no two days are the same.
Core Responsibilities
- Support your colleagues across a variety of projects
- Be proactive and flexible, surprise and delight clients and solve their problems
- Report in to Make Honey’s Graphic Designer and Project Managers
- Support on presentations to potential and existing clients
- Source imagery and/or create artwork for global brands
- Provide a creative outlook and input on design ideas
- Typesetting and maintaining a high standard of typographic layouts
- Manage expectations and work and help to ensure deadlines are met
- Contribute to Make Honey’s culture, make people smile every day
Key Skills
- Tenacity, curiosity, confidence, and plenty of gumption
- Excellent organisational, project and time management skills
- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
- Ability to artwork, experience desired but not compulsory
- A keen eye for detail and excellent typography skills is a must
- Knowledge of presentation and layout design
- Experience with Google Slides is a bonus
- Experience in video editing is an advantage but not necessary
- Experience using WordPress is an advantage but not necessary
- Ability to manage expectations and workload across accounts
- Professional, helpful and proactive attitude
- Confident working in a fast‑paced start‑up environment
- Google Docs (Word; Excel), Slack and Asana skills useful and will be sharpened on the job
The role is based in Aldgate, London. The team is currently working from the office three days a week on a staff rotation basis, adhering to social distancing measures at all times.
