On-line luxury magazine, The Handbook is looking for a junior graphic designer to take on a 6-12 month paid internship. This is an ideal role for someone that is looking to gain experience from a highly respected publication and work under a small but very talented team. The ideal candidate needs to be able to hit the ground running and be able to fit in and work quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Creating concepts and images through designing layouts of art and copy
- Plan concepts by studying available artwork and materials
- Working closely with our current designer to produce great results
- Helping produce engaging design concepts from start to finish
- Helping produce imagery for the Daily Newsletter
Essential Skills
- Creative & excellent ideas
- Experienced with Adobe CC, specifically Photoshop, InDesign
- High attention to detail
- Good problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
Desirable but Not Essential Skills
- Experience designing for Web + Email
- Experience with Adobe XD
- Motion Graphics / Animation experience
- Videography and Photography editing skills
- Designing assets for Social Media
- Some experience creating images for fashion brands, beauty brands, or brands within the luxury sector
