Graduate Conference Producer (Events)

We are looking for an enthusiastic recent graduate to join our Conference Production team. As a conference producer, each year you will complete production of 4-6 summits from start to finish. Launch your career at the intersection of business, media, and cyber security, producing global summits for C-level leaders. This isn’t an event manager role. It’s: Research Event strategy Copywriting Relationship building Project ownership International travel We provide full, on the job training.

Location: Currently Remote with a view to go hybrid. Regular meetups in the City of London while remote.

Responsibilities

• Market Research & Analysis.
• Building a Steering Committee and conducting in-depth phone-based research of key subject areas and topics within a specific region or industry.
• Identifying the target audience and finding out what they want and need to know.
• Creating a comprehensive conference briefing document and accurately briefing other departments after conducting research.
• Copywriting.
• Writing promotional copy in the form of a conference programme.
• Creating relevant, thought provoking and high-quality content attractive to an audience of C-level executives.
• Ensuring that all sales-driven materials such as websites, emails and LinkedIn posts will maximise delegate interest and attendance.
• Writing reports that feature interviews of industry thought leaders.
• Speaker Acquisition.
• Identifying high-level, influential industry thought leaders and inviting them to speak at the conference.
• Recruiting speakers is done through various methods of communication including cold calling.
• Project Management.
• Managing a 6-8 weeks' production cycle.
• Working with a cross-functional team from several departments: sales (delegate and sponsorship), marketing and operations to ensure the success of the conference.
• Onsite Attendance. Attending conferences to ensure excellent delivery and smooth running on the day. This will include opening your conference. This is an opportunity to represent the company and to network with key players and speakers within the sector, to build relationships and shake hands with the people that helped shape your agenda.

The right candidate

• Possesses the ability to conduct in-depth research, including via virtual interviews
• Has an appetite to constantly learn and develop new skills
• Has the ability to pick up knowledge of markets and adapt to different conferences
• Is someone who can work independently on the research and writing side, while also being sociable in order to network and persuade speakers to join the conference
• Has excellent copywriting skills
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be speaking with international business leaders over virtual meetings and calls (including cold calling) and via email/LinkedIn
• Is a quick thinker who is able to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines
• Has great project management and time management skills
• Is happy to travel internationally up to 6 times a year
• Is keen on developing and growing in the company
