Tideturner Films is an independent documentary film production company releasing its first feature documentary, I Am Belmaya, which tells the story of a young woman in Nepal who takes control of her life through filmmaking. The project seeks one or two part‑time interns to support fundraising and crowdfunding efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Reach out to potential funders, grant bodies, charities and corporate sponsors.
  • Assist with funding applications and proposals.
  • Grow the existing GoFundMe campaign and/or set up and manage a new crowdfunding campaign (e.g., Kickstarter).
  • Collaborate with the media/marketing intern to reach individual donors via social media.
  • Operate on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, creating engaging posts, researching relevant hashtags and contacting influencers.

Qualifications

  • Current or recent university/masters student in a relevant field.
  • Self‑starting, organized and systematic.
  • Strong project‑management and written communication skills.
  • Interest in film, filmmaking and social impact.
  • Desire to gain experience in crowdfunding and campaign management.

Start date: week of 24 February or soon after, 1–2 days a week for up to 4 months, or a concentrated block of up to 4 weeks for a crowdfunding campaign. The internship is not a summer vacation internship.
