As a member of the Digital Sales team, you will work in a hardworking, fast‑paced environment and sell a portfolio of products specific to your division. Your role will include finding new business and cross‑sell opportunities and maintaining existing client relationships. The role is office based; you will be expected to work variable hours to meet the demands of the role and the requirements of the prospects. Key responsibilities
  • Achieve a sales target for Software as a Service (SaaS) licences alongside annual consultancy targets.
  • Have a very good understanding of all Access IP and relevant third‑party products.
  • Develop your own demonstration skills and know when to call for assistance.
  • Respond to enquiries quickly and efficiently and provide feedback to keep the team informed.
  • Build a multi‑level relationship with customers and nurture every opportunity.
  • Understand the business plans and expectations of customers.
  • Host meetings at all levels with customers.
  • Ensure a smooth handover to the projects team once a sale is made.
  • Always provide the highest level of customer service and technical expertise to customers.
  • Attend exhibitions, host seminars, present sales ideas or attend meetings in support of other salespeople.
  • Organise telephone reference sites or site visits for either your own or other team members' prospects.
  • Work in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
Day‑to‑day activities
  • Achieve sales of specific modules to the value set by your manager of licence sales in the first year, which will grow in subsequent years.
  • Generate a strong pipeline of opportunities to reach your sales target.
  • Keep daily activity high through calls, emails, and social media.
  • Understand current and future client requirements and work to increase the footprint of Access IP.
  • Provide solutions to the associated market.
  • Express ideas and concepts persuasively and compellingly.
  • Attend sales training to develop your career path.
  • Use social media to drive new contacts and opportunities.
  • Keep up to date with changes in the market specific to your division.
Required skills and experience
  • Experience selling software over the phone is preferable.
  • A proven track record of proactively making telephone calls to prospects or clients.
  • A motivated self‑starter with an enthusiastic, 'never give up' attitude.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and practices.
  • Ability and willingness to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Good administration skills; maintain the Salesforce system with pre‑sales information and complete FocalPoint for sales reporting.
  • Remain calm and polite under intense pressure.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
