We are a small but rapidly expanding company located in Alderley Edge supplying strategic metallic raw materials to the manufacturing industry (both domestic and international). We have a dynamic team with core values focusing on client satisfaction and a fun, friendly work environment. We are looking to strengthen our team due to product and market diversification, which has increased sales and workload, particularly in renewable energies.
The candidate will work with our team to develop new and existing leads and further develop our company brand. They must be self‑motivated, hardworking, honest, and confident with clients and on the telephone, and ready to perform a number of roles that are inevitable in a small, evolving business. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who wants to be a crucial part of a small growing team with scope to develop their business skills and challenge themselves.
Responsibilities- Working with our team to data‑mine new leads
- Following up on leads
- Negotiating with both suppliers and customers, domestic and internationally
- Closing sales
- Admin tasks such as booking freight with couriers, placing orders, etc.
- Inspecting goods inward and assisting with expediting goods from our warehouse
- Face‑to‑face client meetings
- Excellent eye for detail
- Modern IT skills and proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Sales experience
- University education preferred but not essential
- Can‑do positive attitude and confidence
- Valid driving licence
- Experience in the metals industry is advantageous; full product training will be provided and candidates without prior experience will be considered
- Foreign language skills helpful but not essential
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
