Responsibilities
This is an exciting opportunity to support our continued growth. Corporate travel and meetings management is undergoing a remarkable amount of change and with change there is opportunity. Technology (including AI) and data (BI and analytics) are transforming how organizations and industries manage their global travel spend and supporting program. ALTOUR is a leader in this transformation, selling a platform of business travel solutions – leading edge travel technology, global fulfillment, consulting, and meetings management.
The Regional Sales Director for Europe & Africa will have responsibility for generating new business with key global prospects headquartered in the Region. The candidate will sell the full platform of ALTOUR products (travel tech including AI, travel management, meetings management, consulting, and travel data/analytics) to enterprises in specific midmarket and Enterprise prospects in the region to gain net new customers. The Regional Sales Director will manage, own, and drive global sales opportunities for companies based in the region through strategic selling. In this role, this dynamic sales professional will also be responsible for negotiating and closing business for mid-to large Enterprise sized companies headquartered in the region that require managed travel on a multinational scale.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate strategic thinking
- Prior direct sales experience in region (minimum 7 years regional sales experience in comparable role required)
- Understanding of practices in the key driver markets within the EMEA region
- Understanding of key travel management technologies and benefits to client programs within EMEA Region and Globally
- Proficient in Office including Word / Excel / PowerPoint and Outlook
- Persistence and willingness to actively pursue business
- Consistent and timely follow up with clients required
- Must be organised with attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills
- Regular and dependable punctuality and attendance are required
- Hybrid role (Office based 2 days per week or as required by the business)
Physical Requirements
- Occasional travel within region may be required
- Must be able to comprehend instructions, interpret documents, and apply abstract principles to a wide range of complex tasks
- Job requires employee to perform basic arithmetic accurately and compute rates and percentages.
Pay and Benefits
Our benefit offerings include healthcare, dental care, health assured (EAP), life insurance and Perkbox. The salary range on this job has been developed to give applicants a range based on the local market where the candidate would be working. Many factors, such as years of experience, budget etc. are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. This role may be eligible for an incentive, commission, bonus, or a discretionary bonus program based on the company’s financial goal achievement and individual performance.
