JOB TITLE: Warehouse Operative – Transport
LOCATION: Aylesford, Kent
WORKING HOURS: 7am – 4.30pm
A bit about the role
We’re looking for a reliable and organised Warehouse Operative to join our small, dedicated team. In this role, you’ll help ensure that all customer orders are prepared and dispatched efficiently and on time.
You’ll take pride in maintaining a well‑organised workspace and supporting your teammates with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment. This is a hands‑on role that involves the manual handling and lifting of furniture, so a good level of physical fitness is required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To carry out daily tasks as set out by the Transport Manager.
- Accurate picking, packing and despatching of furniture.
- Helping maintain accurate stock levels, counting stock as required.
- Communication with Customer Services/other departments as needed.
- Working as part of a team and doing other ad‑hoc jobs as needed.
- Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed.
- Striving to achieve zero errors in all operations.
- During busy periods helping to unload furniture in Goods‑In from 3rd party and our own carriers and aiding in quality control.
QUALIFICATIONS & VALUES
- Previous warehouse experience would be advantageous.
- A Forklift license and / or reach truck would be a distinct benefit.
- Comfortable with heavy lifting, manual handling training will be provided.
- Reliable and punctual – a real team‑player.
- Accurate and careful.
- There is an opportunity for paid overtime.
