About the Company

In a nutshell, we’re all about making the world of wine a better place. We fund and source directly from independent winemakers to bring customers better quality wine for a better price. No thirsty middlemen as far as the eye can see. It’s a different way of doing things, sure. But it works. We’re one of the UK’s favourite wine clubs, shipping over 1 million cases a year to curious wine lovers. And with an ambitious road ahead, we’ve got no plans on plugging the cork on growth. Our global team is entrepreneurial by nature, obsessive about customer experience and driven by performance. All things that make Naked a great place to grow both personally and professionally. And yes, we like wine. A lot.

Location & Flexible Working Domicile: London or Norwich. The role requires one day per week at the primary office and one trip to the other office per month. Flexible options include part-time (minimum hours specified upon request), job share, and compressed hours.

Responsibilities

  • Data Standards & Taxonomy: Own and maintain the global master data taxonomy, naming conventions, and attribute definitions, ensuring data structures evolve in line with business needs.
  • Quality & Governance: Monitor and elevate data cleanliness across product, pricing, supplier, and operational data; identify recurring issues and lead root-cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.
  • Data Lifecycle Management: Oversee the complete creation, modification, and retirement processes for master data, establishing strict change control for updates to core structures.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as the central source of truth for definitions; work closely with the Sage Administrator to ensure consistent entries, and partner with Data & Analytics to guarantee downstream reporting accuracy.
  • ERP Transformation Support: Support the broader business units (IMS, Operations, Finance) through data migration validation, data readiness, asset cleansing, and setup activities ahead of go-live.
  • Global BAU Stability: Focus heavily on post-go-live stability and optimisation across multiple international markets, ensuring data structures remain completely platform-agnostic.

Qualifications

  • Governance Background: Proven experience managing master data, data governance initiatives, or taxonomy frameworks.
  • Industry Context: Strong professional background working within retail, FMCG, supply chain, e-commerce, or similar inventory-heavy environments.
  • Process Design: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to build, document, and enforce structured, scalable data workflows.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Strong collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and technical administrators without having direct ownership of system configuration.
  • Analytical Problem Solving: A pragmatic, independent approach to analysing data discrepancies, executing root-cause analyses, and implementing practical fixes under deadlines.
  • Technical Tooling: Highly skilled with data sorting, management, and documentation toolsets within MS Office Suite (advanced Excel) or Google Workspace.
