About the role

At Pineapple, our drivers play a vital role in delivering more than just furniture – they deliver an exceptional customer experience. As our business continues to grow, we’re excited to be expanding our transport team and hiring multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers. In this role, you’ll be the friendly face of our company, representing Pineapple with professionalism and pride wherever you go. You’ll complete UK and European tramping routes across Germany, France and Poland, ensuring our products reach customers safely, efficiently and with care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and install Pineapple furniture to customers across the UK and Europe, providing a professional “white glove” delivery experience.
  • Represent Pineapple as a brand ambassador, ensuring every customer interaction is friendly, helpful and professional.
  • Ensure goods are transported safely, legally and efficiently in line with UK and EU driving regulations.
  • Work Monday to Friday covering 45 core hours, with overtime paid at time and a half where applicable.
  • Overnight allowance ÂŁ60 for European tramping ÂŁ40 for UK tramping.
  • Carefully load, unload and handle furniture, ensuring products arrive in perfect condition.
  • Carry out daily vehicle safety checks, reporting any faults or defects promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and presentable vehicle, reflecting our professional standards.
  • Secure loads correctly to protect products during transit.
  • Follow all drivers’ hours, tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations.
  • Complete all delivery documentation including PODs, CMRs and customs documentation where required.
  • Communicate regularly with the Transport Manager and wider team regarding routes, progress and any issues.
  • Use company technology including PDAs, tracking systems and defect reporting tools.
  • Plan routes effectively and report delays, incidents or issues quickly and responsibly.
  • Follow company Health & Safety procedures, including safe manual handling practices.
  • Support the wider team and assist with additional tasks where required.

About you

  • We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys providing excellent service. You will be reliable, professional and comfortable working independently while still feeling part of a supportive team.
  • Full and valid UK HGV Class 2 driving licence.
  • Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • Willingness to undertake UK and European tramping, including multiple nights away (Monday–Friday).
  • Comfortable sleeping in the vehicle Monday – Friday while on route.
  • Speaking French or German would be advantageous, but not essential.
  • Physically fit and able to manoeuvre and deliver our furniture safely. Manual handling and heavy lifting training provided.
  • Experience in furniture deliveries/installations would be ideal but not essential.
  • Strong customer service skills with a polite and professional manner.
  • Commitment to Health & Safety, adhering to company policies and promoting safe working practices.
  • Reliable, punctual and a great team player.
