Core Responsibilities:

  • Act as an operational lead and provide oversight for global procurement processes, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and governance across the purchase-to-pay (P2P) lifecycle.
  • Prioritise tasks, resolve escalations, maintain SOPs, and mentor Specialists, while driving KPI performance through effective collaboration with stakeholders to enable smooth, effective procurement operations.
  • Achieve specific procurement goals or provide support to others while following established procurement systems and protocols.
  • Identify trends, summarise findings, and give feedback on existing contract performance, providing it as input to new contract processes for negotiations/renegotiations.
  • Deliver required outcomes by coordinating activities of subcontractors and suppliers and acting as a primary point of contact for them while working within an established contract management plan.
  • Collate and analyse data using pre-set tools, methods, and formats, involving independent work.
  • Organise and prepare complex documents using a variety of applications for technology devices, such as standard office software, and gather and summarise data for special reports.
  • Collect and analyse key cost drivers, market dynamics and issues, areas of innovation, and alternative suppliers for a low-risk area with many alternatives and minimum costs to change, in consultation with relevant functions.
  • Evaluate costs and identify variances or opportunities to improve profitability for more senior colleagues.
  • Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and related policies, referring issues to others where necessary.
  • Assist with stakeholder engagement by arranging actions, meetings, events, and supporting materials to promote stakeholder understanding and commitment.
  • Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant.
  • Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
  • Comply with applicable rules, laws, regulations and guidance governing role responsibilities.
  • Oversee PO lifecycle and supplier onboarding.
  • Execute operational tasks during peak periods or escalations.
  • Monitor KPIs and report performance to Global Lead, CoE.
