Kay International PLC, a Lloyd's specialist re/insurance broker, is looking for a Facultative Reinsurance Broker to join our London team. This is a part-time role, working three days a week in the office.
You will generate new facultative business, manage existing client relationships and place risks with Lloyd's syndicates on competitive terms.
Success means growing a strong book of business, building trusted relationships with clients and syndicates, and contributing directly to the company's brokerage revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Generate new facultative reinsurance business.
- Maintain and grow existing client relationships.
- Achieve successful placements and competitive terms.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Lloyds syndicates.
- Contribute to brokerage revenue and profitability.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facultative reinsurance broking, ideally within the Lloyd's market
- An existing network of cedant and Lloyd's syndicate contacts
- Strong negotiation skills and a track record of securing competitive terms
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good knowledge of reinsurance contracts, wordings and placement processes
- A self-motivated approach to new business development
