The IYF Vice President will assist the President and the Secretary‑General in overall strategic and operational responsibility for all IYF activity areas. The position is a part of the senior management team that drives the overall strategy for the IYF at an international level.

To voluntarily represent, positively promote, and uphold the mission of “Empowering youth for better world” in various programs and opportunities throughout the IYF interventions across member countries.

Experience required at the international or national level within an INGO, NGO, non‑profits, the United Nations, charities, international relations, youth studies, sport, women's empowerment, European Union, civil service, government, diplomatic, youth‑led organisations or relevant field.
What will you be doing?
Reports to President. The International Youth Federation is an international non‑profit youth organisations network governed by the present Statutes and the Swiss Civil Code. It is neutral politically, and non denominational, aim to empower youth worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Program Leadership & Management: Preside over meetings in the absence of the President/SG, and watch over the IYF Commissions and assist the committee heads. Leading, guiding, directing, and evaluating the work of the other IYF officials including Executive branches staff and Regional Directors. Formulating and implementing the strategic plan that guides the direction of the business or their area of responsibility. Attract, develop, coach, and retain high-performance team members, empowering them to elevate their level of responsibility, span of control, and performance to ensure ongoing programmatic excellence. Work with staff members to develop systems to ensure consistent, high-quality project management. Provide leadership in the development of inter‑team communication and cohesiveness, sustaining culture and supporting staff during organizational growth.
- External Relations: Expand revenue‑generating and fundraising activities to support existing programs and the growth of the IYF; cultivate existing relationships and develop new funder relationships. Represents the IYF at global conferences, events and meetings.
- Partnerships Management: Identifies opportunities for new alliances and develops strategies for achieving the IYF objectives raising revenue. Develop partner networks and strategic partnerships, using method driven approaches and processed to drive results through partnerships. Coordinate the management of ongoing relationships with existing partners and where relevant, leverage those relationships to greater collective impact.
