The role of the Central Human Resources Division (CHRD) is to provide the IYF and its leadership with the best strategic HR advice. To voluntarily represent, positively promote, and uphold the mission of "Empowering youth for a better world" in various programs and opportunities throughout the IYF interventions across member countries.

Ideally around 5-7 years in recruitment, HR, or talent acquisition. Team management experience is highly preferred.

What will you be doing?

The Fédération Internationale de la Jeunesse in English International Youth Federation (IYF) is an international non‐profit youth organization network governed by the present Statutes and the Swiss Civil Code. It is politically neutral and non‐denominational, aiming to empower youth worldwide. The IYF Bureau of Management has direct responsibility for the management and oversight of the organization and provides leadership, advisory, and management support to the IYF Headquarters and other executive branches. Under the guidance and overall supervision of the Human Resources Director, the Manager of Central Recruitment Unit leads headquarters' recruitment function, supports the work of the Director in the development and execution of the central recruitment work plan, and provides direction to the HR team. The CRU Manager operates within the framework of IYF's human resources policies and systems. Additionally, she/he advises on and contributes to a variety of initiatives related to human resource aspects of the IYF volunteer management.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manage CHRD's recruitment cases, ensuring coherent service to internal clients, and lead the implementation and execution of assigned corporate exercises.
  • Manage a team of 6; 5 HR Analysts (recruitment coordinators), and 1 HR Specialist (recruitment specialist).
  • Provide guidance and oversight to the management and operations in CRU, including thought leadership to HR headquarters team.
  • Ensure the provision of critical business intelligence to managers on overall workforce trends and emerging issues to position the organization to anticipate, plan and meet workforce needs, while informing and influencing the organizational strategy.
  • Participate directly in staff selections through the IYF corporate processes, as appropriate.
  • Propose and implement changes to strengthen an integrated service structure and to enhance CRU's effectiveness, efficiency and timeliness.
  • Support the development and implementation of updated HR systems, processes, and tools.
  • Build and maintain the team's level of engagement, nurture and guide the development of staff, and provide developmental feedback, support, and coaching to team members.
  • Proactively seek ways to enhance and improve the efficiency and timeliness of recruitment processes, without detracting from their quality; ensure related data tracked and periodically promulgated.
