Proven experience at the national or international level in youth empowerment, international relations, partnership development, programme coordination, policy support, or institutional cooperation. Demonstrated ability to work within youth‑led organisations, multilateral environments, government institutions, or non‑profit networks is highly desirable.
What will you be doing?
The Fédération Internationale de la Jeunesse, in English the International Youth Federation (IYF), is an international non‑profit youth organisation network governed by the present Statutes and the Swiss Civil Code. It is politically neutral and non-denominational, aiming to empower youth worldwide. The IYF Bureau of External Relations (IYFER) is responsible for the IYF’s external relations and international cooperation. The Bureau leads and supports the organisation in building and strengthening strategic relationships and alliances that are essential for advancing and successfully achieving the mission of the IYF. The Deputy Director supports the Director of the Bureau of External Relations in the day‑to‑day management, coordination, and execution of the BER mandate.
Responsibilities
- Partnership Operations and Coordination
- Support the implementation of the partnership priority framework.
- Coordinate partnership engagement processes across IRC units and regions.
- Ensure consistency in how partnerships are initiated, documented, and reviewed.
- Internal Coordination and Process Management
- Act as a key liaison between BER, BGPS, NAC, and Regional Administrations on partnership‑related matters.
- Support structured internal information flow on external engagements.
- Flag risks, overlaps, or misalignments in partnership activity.
- Systems, Tracking, and Documentation
- Maintain partnership records, engagement logs, and basic tracking systems.
- Support preparation of briefing notes, partnership summaries, and internal reports.
- Contribute to learning and feedback processes linked to external engagement.
- Support coordination of regional focal points and operational workflows.
- Contribute to onboarding, guidance, and day‑to‑day problem‑solving within the Bureau.
- Step in for the Director when required on internal coordination matters.
