We are looking for a full-time auditor to help us with auditing and seeking refunds from landlords for IWG across Europe. You will encounter a high degree of flexibility on structuring your work life. You will follow established departmental procedures, recommending improvements or enhancements to further increase savings. You will work with Real Estate teams, Accounts Payable teams and centre personnel to obtain necessary lease/building specific information to complete the audit. You will interact directly with landlords and their agents, requesting documentation and assertively seeking refunds for overcharges while maintaining a positive relationship with them.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Performs property service charge invoice reviews and audits (also known as Lease Audits, CAM Audits, Real Estate Taxes and Operating Expense Audits) in various countries around the world.
  • Receives landlords' property service invoices, compares against lease documents, accounting reports and local centre-provided information.
  • Documents errors and works to resolve directly with landlords' representatives.
  • Communicates regularly with landlords and their agents including phone calls, e-mails and written correspondence.
  • Uses internal accounting systems and lease database to retrieve necessary documentation for audit.
  • Works closely with IWG Asset and Country Managers for solving particularly delicate disputes.
  • Assists with the implementation and development of audit tools and procedures.
  • Uses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with emphasis on persuasiveness and negotiations to collect data and claims.
  • Works on multiple audit claims simultaneously, prioritises, follows up, reports and brings projects to conclusion.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Full professional proficiency in English; French would be a big advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Work experience in Lease Administration, Property Management, Commercial Real Estate Brokerage, Property Accounting, Law, or other relevant experience working with real estate leases with the ability to interpret lease language.
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with strong analytical skills.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel.
  • Proactive and passionate about quality, honesty, and work with a determination to succeed.

Additional Preferences

  • Proficiency in an additional language will be considered beneficial.
  • Experience in auditing property service charge/operating expense reconciliations.
  • Commercial property/lease/auditing experience.
