We are looking for a Financial Accountant focused on Statutory Compliance to manage our local obligations for the UK & Ireland plus any additional local requirements. This role is part of a large Finance team and involves managing significant country filings.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of a global setup including shared service centres and group functions focusing on country‐specific requirements
- Build proactive working relationships with business partners within the organisation
- Handle local tax and statutory filings
- Support the preparation, management and execution of tasks
- Review and control data received from business partners
- Meet deadlines and requirements proactively
- Support requirements arising from inspections/audits and ad hoc requests
- Participate in local audits
- Prepare, manage and ensure completeness of work
- Assist with company secretarial activities specific to the country
- Undertake a range of other commercial activities (e.g., banking, external partners and supplier tasks required onsite)
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Accounting qualification or in progress obtaining
- 3+ years of experience, including recent experience in a similar level role
- Technically strong, with working knowledge of local GAAP
- Experience in producing Statutory Accounts and Annual Reports
- Flexible approach, adaptable to change
- Excellent communication skills – prior remote work experience an advantage
- Self‐motivated
