The opportunity:

With the gold price increasing every day there is ongoing investment into the Australia mining sector. Along with this Australia is the 2nd largest gold producer in the world and we have over 82 operating gold mines in the country. You can see why there might be demand for mining engineers. In-fact Mining Engineers are one of the highest paid occupations in Australia.

If you are keen to consider working in Australia and have at least a couple of years of experience in an Underground hard rock mine then this could be the opportunity to consider. The function of the role is to generate mine design (stopes and development) to support operations and generate mine plans and schedules.

Experience / Skills Required:

  • Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering
  • Experienced with Deswik CAD and Deswik Scheduler OR other mine planning software
  • At least a couple of years experience in am underground hard rock mine post completion of your degree
  • Component English language ability โ€“ written and verbal
  • Interested in moving to Australia for a few years or even permanently
