The opportunity: With the gold price increasing every day, there is ongoing investment into the Australian mining sector. Australia is the 2nd largest gold producer in the world, with over 82 operating gold mines in the country. Mining Engineers are one of the highest paid occupations in Australia.
If you are keen to consider working in Australia and have at least a couple of years of experience in an underground hard rock mine, then this could be the opportunity to consider. The function of the role is to generate mine design (stopes and development) to support operations and generate mine plans and schedules.
Experience / Skills Required:
- Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering
- Experienced with Deswik CAD and Deswik Scheduler OR other mine planning software
- At least a couple of years experience in an underground hard rock mine post completion of your degree
- Competent English language ability – written and verbal
- Interested in moving to Australia for a few years or even permanently
