International Tennis Federation (ITF) (soon to be World Tennis) is the world governing body of tennis. Founded in 1913, its purpose is to ensure the long-term growth and sustainability of the sport, delivering tennis for future generations in association with its 214 member nations. The ITF oversees the rules and regulations that govern international and national competition. The ITF is responsible for the worldwide development of tennis through its highly regarded Development Programme, its Science and Technical department which monitors equipment and technology, and its Officiating department which oversees the education and advancement of officials. The ITF is the owner and co‑owner of the two largest annual international team competitions in tennis, the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup (BJKC) by Gainbridge and manages the Olympic and Paralympic Tennis Events on behalf of the IOC and IPC. The ITF organises over 3,500 weeks of men’s, women’s and junior tournaments on the ITF World Tennis Tour, ITF Beach Tennis Tour, UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour and the ITF Masters Tour. The ITF upholds the highest standards of integrity and is a partner in the International Tennis Integrity Agency.
The World Tennis Tour (WTT) team is responsible for delivering the worldwide ITF men’s and women’s professional tournaments, which in 2025 numbered 1,261 tournaments in over 70 countries. On the women’s side, the Tour comprises W15, W35, W50, W75 and W100 tournaments, which offer prize money from $15,000 up to $100,000; while the men’s side comprises M15 and M25 tournaments which offer prize money of $15,000 and $30,000 respectively. In 2025, the WTT delivered record prize money for both women and men.
Overview of World Tennis Tour Team:
The Role: Working with the Senior Manager, Strategy and Pathway to plan the annual World Tennis Tour calendar of tournaments, with a focus on building strong relationships with our National Associations and external partners to improve the overall structure of the tour so as to support players across the pathway.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Senior Manager, Strategy and Pathway to develop the WTT calendar to deliver better for players, for example improving scheduling, lessening travel, reviewing surface balance/swings.
- Develop relationships, especially with National Association counterparts; and with ATP/WTA to ensure draft calendars and applications are received in good time in line with WTT Calendar Strategy.
- Support on the distribution of funding to achieve WTT calendar goals with a focus on ensuring correct and timely payment to National Association via the ITF Finance System.
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the tournament applications process to ensure applications are processed and approved on-time and subject to the appropriate evaluation of standard (tournament reports, site checks, security, tournament feedback), working where appropriate with the WTT Operations Team.
- Support team members and assist with delivering monthly check‑ins and annual performance reviews if/where appropriate.
- Work with other departments and colleagues, in particular but not limited to finance and security.
- Assist with other operational and strategic imperatives as required.
You will have…
- Sound experience and understanding of professional tennis, including National Association activities and structure; professional tennis event operations; rules and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage a large number of external relationships.
- Excellent time management, skilled in delivery of multiple and complex competing priorities and delivering to hard deadlines.
- Very strong administration skills and excellent attention to detail/accuracy.
- Ability to prioritise and work on own initiative in an efficient and timely manner.
- Integrity, diplomacy, and accountability.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English; additional European language(s) desirable.
- Flexibility (the role may require some limited travel/weekend work).
