Role Summary
As our IT Support Apprentice, you will play an important role supporting staff, students and residents with their day‑to‑day IT needs.
This position offers hands‑on experience across IT support, networking, systems administration, cybersecurity and cloud technologies and will support your progress toward a recognized apprenticeship qualification.
Responsibilities
- Provide first‑line IT support for hardware, software and connectivity issues.
- Set up laptops, mobile devices, user accounts and peripherals.
- Support Microsoft 365, Windows and other business applications.
- Assist with installation and maintenance of PCs, printers and mobile devices.
- Maintain IT equipment and asset records.
- Support corporate and student Wi‑Fi and network infrastructure.
- Assist with server monitoring, backups and cloud services.
- Learn to support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and other network administration tasks.
- Help maintain IT security, antivirus protection and user access controls.
- Support IT projects, equipment rollouts and system upgrades.
- Assist with technology used for conferences, events and our music venue.
- Work alongside external IT suppliers and contractors.
- Maintain IT documentation and support records.
