About the Role

As Duty Manager, you will be at the heart of our operations – leading by example to deliver outstanding service, maintain safety standards, and create a positive experience for residents and guests. You will take ownership of the site during your shift, working closely with the Senior Duty Manager/Resident Services Manager – handling everything from daily checks and incident management to team coordination and customer support. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership and customer service experience who thrives in a hands‑on, fast‑paced, and people‑focused environment.

About You

  • Essential
  • Previous experience in customer service at a supervisory level.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work shifts and provide holiday cover.
  • A proactive, positive approach to work with a genuine passion for helping others.
  • Desirable
    • Experience in a hotel or student accommodation setting.
    • Knowledge of health & safety legislation and hotel software systems.
    • Fire Marshal, First Aid, or Mental Health First Aid training (training provided if needed).
    • Additional languages are an advantage.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the accommodation.
    • Lead and support a small team, including Resident Advisors.
    • Oversee resident welfare and engagement, building a positive, inclusive atmosphere.
    • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, housing standards, and sustainability initiatives.
    • Monitor and manage building security and maintenance.
    • Support financial processes including rent checks, invoicing, and budget oversight.

    What We’re Looking For

    • Previous experience in accommodation or facilities management, ideally within student housing.
    • Strong understanding of compliance and Health & Safety regulations.
    • Excellent people management skills — approachable, organised, and proactive.
    • A commitment to diversity, sustainability, and community building.
    • Great communication and problem-solving skills.

    Why Work With Us?

    • A dynamic and supportive working environment.
    • Opportunities for professional growth and development.
    • A chance to make a lasting impact in the lives of students from all over the world.
