International Students House (ISH) is looking for reliable, hardworking and positive individuals to join our Housekeeping team as Summer Morning Cleaners on a flexible contract basis. About ISH: International Students House is a unique student residence and social hub near Regent’s Park, home to students from around the world. Alongside our accommodation, we also host conferences, events, music performances and hospitality spaces including 229 The Venue and The Thirsty Scholar bar.
Role: You’ll help maintain high standards of cleanliness across our student accommodation, communal areas and event spaces, ensuring residents and guests enjoy a safe, clean and welcoming environment.
Duties:
- Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and communal spaces
- Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors
- Cleaning conference and public facilities
- Replenishing consumables such as soap and toilet rolls
- Assisting with room setups, bedding and light portering tasks
- Reporting maintenance issues
- Using cleaning equipment and machinery safely
- Supporting health & safety and emergency procedures where required
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Reliable and punctual
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual tasks
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Friendly, proactive and professional
- Available for morning shifts during the summer period
Note: this role can be physically demanding and involves moving furniture, handling cleaning equipment and working on your feet for extended periods.
Hours: Shifts are offered on a flexible, ad‑hoc basis depending on operational needs. While we cannot guarantee a fixed number of hours each week, there may be regular opportunities throughout the summer period.
