The Offshore Paramedic is the primary provider of both primary and emergency health care services to the onsite workforce. This role oversees all aspects of clinical and medical management within the offshore clinic, including the preparation and submission of medical evacuation reports.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Comprehensive understanding of international medical and healthcare systems.
  • Strong background in remote area medicine, with offshore experience preferred.
  • Mandatory experience working on seismic vessels.
  • Ability to manage both routine and emergency medical situations in isolated environments.

Required Competencies

  • Adaptability to varied international healthcare practices.
  • Proficiency in clinical decision-making under resource-limited conditions.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills in high-pressure scenarios.
  • Strong organizational and documentation abilities, particularly for medical evacuation procedures.

Required Work Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Medical Medic.
  • Post-graduation experience gained within the clinical arena.
  • Demonstrated capability in handling offshore medical responsibilities.

Required Certificates

  • Advanced Care Level certification or higher.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • International Trauma Life Support (ITLS).
  • Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) / Further Offshore Emergency Training (FOET).

Must be licensed to practice as a paramedic in home country. Must have a valid work permit in the United Kingdom. This is a short-term assignment with an initial duration of 10 days. However, there is a possibility of extension for up to 6 weeks, depending on project needs.
