About the role

We are seeking a Financial Control Manager to lead financial control and reporting activities across multiple international legal entities.

This role is critical in ensuring robust governance, accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective collaboration across global finance teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day financial control activities across multiple international entities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Lead month-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and review of profit and loss and balance sheet movements.
  • Coordinate year-end reporting activities and support statutory audits in partnership with external auditors.
  • Oversee corporate tax compliance activities and support the preparation and maintenance of transfer pricing documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with finance teams and shared service functions to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to group policies.
  • Act as a key point of contact for group finance stakeholders, providing timely reporting, explanations, and financial insights.
  • Deliver financial analysis, variance reporting, and performance commentary to support business decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
  • Lead, coach, and develop finance team members while promoting strong financial controls and continuous improvement.
  • Support finance transformation initiatives and other ad hoc projects as required.

About you

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with post-qualification experience in financial control, financial reporting, or audit.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and/or UK GAAP, with experience operating effective control frameworks.
  • Proven ability to deliver accurate, high-quality financial reporting within a complex, multinational, or matrix environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using finance systems and reporting tools.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills, with a collaborative and continuous improvement mindset.
