We are looking for an experienced Business Controller, Digital Product and Content Services, to join our team in Chiswick, West London. This role will have overall responsibility for the smooth functioning of Finance, Accounting and Analytics across the sub-locations supporting the transformation and delivery of the Product & Technology agenda. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in financial planning, with an accountancy background who is looking for their next move in a global organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Business Partner with Chief Product Officer, VP of Products and CTO to:
- Track level of completion of Capex projects and develop reporting mechanisms to align product vision and demand with financial consequences of operational execution.
- Drive profitability and produce quarterly forecasts and budget.
- Drive efficiencies and preserve BL profitability.
- Develop and drive understanding of the financial performance of Product, Content and Engineering and its alignment with the Operational Performance and overall market conditions.
- Develop a detailed understanding of the relationship with our technology partners and its financial consequences.
- Ensure continuous review of provider engagements.
- Partner with commercial analytics to fairly represent utilisation of features developed and assess value of those in client’s perspective.
- Presentation of monthly results along with CPO/CTO to senior management focusing on the business drivers of the financial results.
- Manage the budget, forecast, outlook and 3 Year Plan in accordance with corporate guidelines and timelines.
- Provide information for management analysis for the Content, Engineering and Product management, on the execution of investments and tracking of return factoring utilisation of features and commercial success.
- Ensure timely, complete and accurate monthly and quarterly reporting for Product, Content and Digital Services reporting as well as local management reporting requirements.
- Manage CAPEX governance in line with H3S CAPEX funding process as documented in GAPP focusing on deliverables and return expected.
- Monthly allocation of cost to capital expenditure in line with time spent by our resources on assets and initiatives.
- Assist in financial modelling necessary for business development, including for example costing for new products, return on capex investment etc with the establishment of a relevant platform to facilitate the analysis.
About you
- Accounting qualification (ACCA or equivalent)
- Strong business and financial planning experience
- Demonstrated technical experience in a similar role and a proven strength in coordinating activities across several functions. Exposure and experience of change management an advantage.
- Developed communication and networking skills to enable strong stakeholder relationships and influencing of senior decision makers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Agile and adaptable with the ability to navigate complex matrix organisations.
- Previous experience of Digital projects or transformation programmes preferred.
