This is a fantastic opportunity for nurses to move from the demands of a clinical environment to an office based role whilst still applying their nursing expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Routine medical case management
- Undertaking policy reviews for healthcare services, issuing authorizations and other case related administrative tasks
- Providing medical advice and recommendations by speaking directly to patients and clients wherever they are based
- Liaising with international medical professionals to obtain medical assessments for patients who are hospitalised or being treated overseas
- Reviewing medical reports and referrals
- Provide case direction and medical due diligence to patients on the TRICARE program
- Provide medical input toward the planning and progress of operational issues relating to medical case management
About You
- Registered General Nurse (must be currently registered with the UK NMC - Nursing and Midwifery Council)
- Previous experience in clinical case management desirable
- Previous telephone triage experience desirable
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Primary Care / General Medical / Surgical, Acute care (ICU/ED), Cruise ship nursing
- Excellent written and spoken English language
- Basic IT skills
