We are looking for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Air Pollution. Your contribution will be critical to strengthen the already successful research activities of our vibrant Environmental Engineering (EE) Group, and Future Mobility (FM) Group, with which it has close links; both have a history of over 70 years. Our research is at the forefront of developing sustainable solutions to the challenges of clean air, soil and water, sanitation, resilient cities and circular economies in a time of global change in line with the University’s Research Themes and Centres of Excellence.

You will lead and/or contribute towards the development and delivery of taught programmes and modules to deliver high quality teaching for our undergraduates in Civil Engineering, and in our successful and long-running Environmental Engineering and Transport Engineering MSc degree programmes within the Civil and Geospatial Engineering discipline.

We have a highly successful portfolio of research funding from diverse sources such as EPSRC, Innovate UK, EU, and Industry generating high impact research as highlighted by the award of the Queen’s Anniversary Prize 2022-24 for a Research Programme of Global Excellence in Water Security. The quality of our publications matches the best comparator groups in the world. We are part of the Global Water Security and Sustainability Hub, which works with partner institutions in Africa, Asia, South America, and the UK, using cutting-edge research to address challenges faced by low and middle income countries. We also lead the DARe National Hub for Decarbonised, Adaptable, and Resilient Transport Infrastructures.
