Dulwich Prep & Senior is an exciting place to work. With over 800 pupils, it has been the largest boys’ prep school in the UK and is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the world’s most cosmopolitan city. In September 2025, we launched our own Senior School, and boys can now stay with us until GCSE.
The school’s strength is its community: our staff, who are professional, passionate, and brilliantly collegiate (CPD is massively important); our pupils, who are inquisitive, challenging learners with a spring in their step, and our parents, who are hugely supportive, appreciative and ambitious.
We are looking for an enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a varied role, which includes:
- Providing tailored support for pupils with SEND, helping them access learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential.
- Working closely with teachers, the SENDCo and other professionals to adapt learning activities, resources and strategies to meet individual needs.
- Delivering targeted interventions to support areas such as literacy, numeracy, communication, attention, sensory needs and social development.
- Promoting positive behaviour, inclusion and wellbeing, building supportive relationships that encourage independence, self-esteem and engagement in learning.
- Monitoring pupil progress, providing effective feedback and contributing to learning support plans, reviews and ongoing SEND provision.
Closing Date: Thursday 1 October 2026, 9.00am.
Start Date: January 2027, or earlier if possible.
We reserve the right to appoint at any time during the recruitment process.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants must be willing to undergo checks with past employers, online checks and an enhanced DBS check.
