Dulwich Prep & Senior is an exciting place to work.

With over 800 pupils, it has been the largest boys’ prep school in the UK and is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the world’s most cosmopolitan city.

In September 2025, we launched our own Senior School, and boys can now stay with us until GCSE.

The school’s strength is its community: our staff, who are professional, passionate, and brilliantly collegiate (CPD is massively important); our pupils, who are inquisitive, challenging learners with a spring in their step, and our parents, who are hugely supportive, appreciative and ambitious.

We are looking for a solutions-focused Network Administrator to join our team full-time. This is a varied role, which includes:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for IT support requests received through the service desk, telephone, email and in person.
  • Providing professional first and second-line support to staff and pupils, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, Microsoft 365 and end-user device issues.
  • Taking ownership of support tickets, prioritising requests and managing workload effectively during busy periods, while keeping users informed throughout the support process.
  • Identifying and escalating complex or higher-level technical issues to senior IT staff, external suppliers or service providers where appropriate.
  • Supporting Microsoft 365, Windows and Apple devices, while assisting with the day-to-day operation of the school’s network, servers and cloud services.

A relevant qualification and experience working in a school would be advantageous.

  • Closing Date: Thursday 24 September 2026, 9.00am.
  • Start Date: An immediate start is available, subject to the satisfactory completion of all the relevant employment checks.

We reserve the right to appoint at any time during the recruitment process.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Applicants must be willing to undergo checks with past employers, online checks and an enhanced DBS check.

How to prepare for a job interview at International Schools Today

Brush Up on Your Technical Skills

For an IT consulting role, be ready to demonstrate your technical prowess. You might face questions on systems integration, cloud technologies, or even troubleshooting specific software. If you have experience with tools like AWS, Azure, or even specific programming languages, make sure you can talk about them fluently.

Showcase Your Problem-Solving Approach

IT consulting is all about solving problems for clients. Think about how you can illustrate your approach to a past challenge using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result). It's a great way to show how you tackle complex issues and come up with effective solutions.

Know the Business Impact of IT Solutions

When discussing your experiences, focus not just on the tech solutions you implemented, but also on their business impact. Employers want to see that you can connect IT with organisational goals. Prep examples that highlight how your tech contributions improved efficiency or reduced costs for past clients or projects.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

Since IT consulting often involves teamwork and client interactions, expect behavioural questions that assess your interpersonal skills. Be prepared with examples that demonstrate your adaptability, communication skills, and how you handle client feedback. Before the interview, think of situations where you worked closely with clients to create effective IT strategies or changes.
