Help shape the educational voice and offer of the Girls’ Schools Association.

The Girls’ Schools Association (GSA) is looking for an experienced and credible education professional to join us in a newly created role as Head of Education.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands schools, knows the education landscape and wants to use their expertise to make a difference beyond a single organisation.

Working closely with the CEO and colleagues across GSA, you will lead and develop our educational offer to member schools, providing trusted advice, guidance and support to Heads and senior leaders. You will help ensure that GSA remains at the forefront of educational thinking, policy and practice, while translating developments across the sector into practical, relevant support for our members.

Your work will span professional learning, member support, accreditation, research and educational policy. You will contribute to the recruitment and retention of member schools, build strong relationships across the sector and represent GSA with key educational organisations and partners.

As a newly created position, this role offers considerable scope to shape its direction and develop new areas of work in response to GSA’s strategic priorities and the changing needs of girls’ schools.

We are looking for someone with substantial experience of education and school leadership, ideally including senior leadership experience within a school. You will bring intellectual curiosity, sound judgement, excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with senior leaders and external stakeholders.

You will be someone who can see the bigger picture while remaining grounded in what schools and their leaders need in practice.
