The Group FP&A Manager reports into the Group Head of FP&A. The role is responsible for coordinating, consolidating, reviewing and challenging all management reporting for the assigned Regions and overseeing the financial control of Central Head Office Opex costs (Staff Costs) and Capex. The manager also owns the overall review and reporting of ISP SDIs (Special Disclosure Items) and ExCo/PG/CVC monthly KPI reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monthly financial reporting, analysis & interpretation for the assigned Regions.
  • Coordinate the monthly management reporting process for Regions, Central Head Office Opex and Capex, ensuring accurate and timely reporting into the ISP Group consolidation system.
  • Review, challenge and understand Regional reporting and commentary to provide insightful analysis for senior management and investors.
  • Prepare detailed commentary of monthly results for discussion with the CFO, update schedules in the management accounts pack and prepare the Board Pack for distribution.
  • Provide a monthly slide deck relating to Central Head Office Opex, delivering variance explanations and commentary to functional leads and stakeholders.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting for Regions, ensuring submissions are reasonable, based on past performance and current trends.
  • Maintain comprehensive understanding of assumptions used in School/Regional budgets and forecasts, tracking against actual results.
  • Own budgeting and forecasting for Central Head Office Opex, Capex and SDIs and liaise with stakeholders to build accurate, challenging budgets/forecasts.
  • Serve as the Group Finance point of contact for the assigned Regions, providing guidance, training and advisory support in all finance matters.
  • Lead and facilitate monthly results meetings with Regional Finance teams to gain a thorough understanding of all Regional issues.
  • Provide support and guidance to Regions during the budget and forecast process, ensuring they are fully prepared for review meetings.
  • Assist with onboarding new schools, including attending meetings, reviewing submissions in PBCS and collaborating with the Group Integration Manager.
  • Business partner Central Functions stakeholders, the Group CFO and the ExCo to drive transparency and necessary actions.
  • Support the Group Head of FP&A with various ad hoc data requests.
  • Develop the five-year plan for the assigned Regions, working with Regional FD/Divisional CFOs to align with strategic planning.
  • Maintain, update and report a set of KPIs on a monthly basis for ExCo/PG/CVC.
  • Analyze Capex in detail, approve new capex codes in NetSuite and update all records for the assigned Regions.
  • Support FP&A Analysts in India as part of a collaborative team.
  • Complete additional supporting analysis as required on a monthly, quarterly and/or annual basis to satisfy internal reporting requirements.
  • Perform ad‑hoc tasks and responsibilities as required by the evolving remit of Group FP&A.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified or currently completing ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent and holding a relevant university degree.
  • Prior experience using PBCS is advantageous.
  • Demonstrable understanding of IFRS.
  • Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, VBA a plus).
  • Ability to extract, structure and prepare data.
  • Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to build good working relationships with all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Attention to detail, strong writing, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commercial outlook.
  • Thorough understanding of financial statements and the relationships between the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is required; additional language skills are an advantage.
  • Previous experience in the education sector is an advantage but not essential.
