Claremont School is looking to employ an experienced PSV driver to join our established team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the daily duties within the school.
Main Duties
- Carry out morning and evening school runs
- Ensure the vehicles have sufficient fuel to carry out the required journey
- Carry out daily vehicle checks
- Comply with DVSA driving rules as well as school policies and procedures
- Help passengers with bags and luggage
- Report defects, accidents or violations to the Transport Manager
- Ensure the vehicle is clean and checked daily
- Respond to passenger enquiries and concerns and inform the Transport Manager
- Inform the Transport Manager of any traffic hazards and other issues delaying arrival or departure times
Qualifications, Skills And Experience
- An understanding of the sensitivity of transporting vulnerable people
- PSV driving qualification (D or D1)
- Valid driver CPC card
- Valid digital tacho card
Working Hours
- 06:30-08:30 & 16:00-18:00 Monday to Friday
- Weekends if required
- Minimum of 20 hours a week during term time
Benefits
- £12.00 per hour set to increase by April 2025
- Paid 5.6 weeks holiday

- Time plus 50% for Saturday work
- Double time for Sunday work
