Claremont School is looking to employ an experienced PSV driver to join our established team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the daily duties within the school.

Main Duties

  • Carry out morning and evening school runs
  • Ensure the vehicles have sufficient fuel to carry out the required journey
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks
  • Comply with DVSA driving rules as well as school policies and procedures
  • Help passengers with bags and luggage
  • Report defects, accidents or violations to the Transport Manager
  • Ensure the vehicle is clean and checked daily
  • Respond to passenger enquiries and concerns and inform the Transport Manager
  • Inform the Transport Manager of any traffic hazards and other issues delaying arrival or departure times

Qualifications, Skills And Experience

  • An understanding of the sensitivity of transporting vulnerable people
  • PSV driving qualification (D or D1)
  • Valid driver CPC card
  • Valid digital tacho card

Working Hours

  • 06:30-08:30 & 16:00-18:00 Monday to Friday
  • Weekends if required
  • Minimum of 20 hours a week during term time

Benefits

  • £12.00 per hour set to increase by April 2025
  • Paid 5.6 weeks holiday
