Join our dynamic onsite Yard Operative Team at IPL Sittingbourne.
We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Yard Operative to become a vital part of our team at Sittingbourne.

- Position Details
- Schedule: 4 on 4 off, 7pm – 7am (Nights)
- Location: IPL Sittingbourne – Site based role
- Contract type: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Work with team colleagues to maintain a clean and tidy workplace environment that complies with company and legislative standards.
- Ensure waste disposal units are emptied and replaced in a timely manner.
- Communicate with the waste disposal company regarding deliveries and collections from the site.
- Organise the yard area to ensure waste segregation follows company policy.
- Take reasonable care of health and safety, following all company safety and quality systems, reporting incidents or suggestions to the line manager.
- Liaise with the dispatch team to ensure smooth removal of trays from the warehouse to the yard area.
- Check incoming stock in line with company goods‑in processes, ensuring all label and segregation disciplines are completed as required.
- Perform MHE truck duties, conducting daily safety checks and observing company warehouse guidelines.
- Store, handle and transport stock and ancillaries securely in line with company procedures, food hygiene legislation and health and safety guidelines.
- What We’re Looking For
- Experience operating a Counterbalance FLT and possession of a Counterbalance certificate.
- Proven experience working within an operations/yard/warehouse site in an FMCG environment, ideally in a yard environment.
- Working knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures in a yard/warehouse operation.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues both internally and externally.
- Previous yard or warehouse experience.
