Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced IAM Architect to lead the design and evolution of enterprise Identity and Access Management capabilities within a complex, highly regulated environment. The successful candidate will define the target-state IAM architecture, develop strategic roadmaps, and ensure identity services support business objectives, regulatory requirements, and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the enterprise IAM strategy, architecture, and roadmap.
  • Design scalable IAM solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Develop reference architectures, standards, and design principles for identity services.
  • Lead the design of Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), authentication, and access management capabilities.
  • Collaborate with security, infrastructure, application, cloud, and business teams to ensure seamless integration of IAM solutions.
  • Drive adoption of Zero Trust principles and modern authentication technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Provide architectural oversight across IAM programmes and projects.
  • Evaluate and recommend IAM technologies and vendors.
  • Produce high-quality architecture artefacts, including solution designs, roadmaps, and technical standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an IAM Architect within a large enterprise or regulated industry.
  • Strong understanding of IAM concepts, including:
    • Identity Lifecycle Management (Joiner, Mover, Leaver)
    • Single Sign-On (SSO)
    • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
    • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
    • Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC)
    • Identity Governance and Administration (IGA)
    • Privileged Access Management (PAM)
  • Experience designing solutions using platforms such as:
    • Microsoft Entra ID
    • SailPoint Identity Security Cloud
    • Okta
    • CyberArk
  • Strong knowledge of authentication and federation protocols, including SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SCIM.
  • Experience with Zero Trust architectures and cloud identity security.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience producing architecture documentation using recognised frameworks such as TOGAF.

Desirable Qualifications

  • TOGAF certification.
  • CISSP, CISM, or equivalent security certification.
  • Cloud certifications such as Microsoft Azure or AWS Security.
