About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Travel Claims Handler to join our dynamic and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to work remotely while playing a key role in delivering exceptional claims handling services across a diverse and global client base.

In this role, you will manage travel insurance claims end-to-end, from initial documentation through to final resolution. You’ll take ownership of complex, high-value, and sensitive cases, acting as a trusted point of contact for VIP clients and providing expert guidance to colleagues.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing travel claims from start to finish, including assessment, investigation, settlement, and closure
  • Handling high-value and complex cases with professionalism and accuracy
  • Communicating with customers, underwriters, and third parties via phone and email
  • Supporting and mentoring team members, including authorising claims within your authority
  • Reviewing appeals, complaints, and sensitive cases to ensure fair outcomes
  • Identifying and preventing fraud, and managing recoveries where appropriate
  • Providing clear explanations of claim decisions in line with policy terms
  • Supporting internal reporting, claim analysis, and process improvements
  • Working closely with 24/7 assistance teams to ensure a seamless customer journey

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong claims handling experience with excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage workloads independently while collaborating effectively with others
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • Confident handling complex cases, complaints, and VIP clients
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • A calm, professional, and solutions-focused approach

Desirable Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience across travel, medical, legal expenses, or liability claims
  • 3+ years specialising in travel claims
  • Experience with fraud detection, recoveries, and complaint resolution
  • Additional language skills (beneficial but not essential)
