International House London is currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic Swedish teachers to join our growing Foreign Languages team. The role primarily involves teaching adults on our evening face-to-face courses at our school in Covent Garden. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified and passionate individuals to contribute to our vibrant and multicultural learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Swedish in-person language lessons to adult learners.
- Create engaging and effective lesson materials and activities.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere in the classroom.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of courses and maintain consistent teaching standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have the right to work in the UK and be currently based in the UK.
- Swedish (C2 level)
- Initial teaching qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant Swedish teaching experience to adults.
- Clear Police Record and Enhanced DBS
- Possess a CELTA, Trinity TESOL or DELTA QTS
- Hold a degree in Swedish Language and Literature or a degree in Modern Languages (English, Spanish, German, French, etc.).
Working Hours:
This is a part-time position. We are looking for a teacher to deliver in-person courses in the evenings (18:30 – 20:30).
