The Role

We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Arabic teachers to join our Foreign Languages team . This role focuses on teaching face-to-face adult group classes on Sunday mornings, with the potential for additional evening courses.

As part of IH London, you’ll have the opportunity to work in a supportive, international community of teachers, with access to resources, professional development, and a lively student community.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Arabic lessons to adult learners.
  • Design creative and effective learning materials.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Create an inclusive and motivating classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high teaching standards.
  • Complete attendance records and progress reports as needed.
  • Right to work in the UK (must be UK-based).
  • Proficiency in Arabic (native or near-native level).
  • Initial teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, TAFL certificate).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching adults in a formal setting.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

  • CELTA, Trinity TESOL, or DELTA qualification.
  • Degree in Arabic Language & Literature, or in Modern Languages.
  • Experience teaching both group and individual lessons.
  • Flexibility to teach additional evening courses.
