The Role

We are looking for experienced and engaging Portuguese teachers to deliver face‑to‑face adult group courses, primarily:

• Evenings: 18:30–20:30 (groups running once per week)
• Additional opportunities: weekday afternoons, Friday evenings, and weekends

What you’ll do:

• Deliver high‑quality, communicative Portuguese lessons to adult learners
• Plan engaging lessons aligned with IH syllabi
• Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
• Build a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high academic standards
• Complete attendance records and update the SharePoint folder with a work done record.

Requirements:

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Portuguese
• Recognised teaching qualification in Portuguese
• Good knowledge of the differences between Brazilian and European Portuguese
• Minimum 3 years’ experience teaching groups
• Right to work in the UK and currently UK‑based

Competitive salary based on experience: £27.33 - £30.24/hour + holiday pay

Recruitment Process

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an in‑person interview, which includes a formal interview.
