International House London is currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic Korean teachers to join our growing Foreign Languages team. The role primarily involves teaching adults on our evening face-to-face courses at our school in Covent Garden. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified and passionate individuals to contribute to our vibrant and multicultural learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Korean language lessons to adult learners.
  • Create engaging and effective lesson materials and activities.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of courses and maintain consistent teaching standards.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities.

Essential:

  • Native or Proficient Korean speaker
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Initial teaching qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years teaching experience to groups
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must have the right to work in the UK and be currently based in the UK

Desirable:

  • QTS
  • Certificate of Korean Language Teacher
  • Bachelor\’s Degree in Korean Language Education
  • CELTA
  • Experience in teaching in-company and one-to-one courses

Working Hours:

This is a part-time position. Most lessons are the evening from 18.30 -20.30, once a week. We also have some classes in the afternoons, Friday evenings and Sunday mornings. We are particularly interested in teachers who are available to teach on Thursday evenings.
