Our client is looking to recruit a Kitchen Manager Head Chef for one of their restaurants in Oxford.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in the branded restaurant or pub industry
  • Ability to work under pressure in a very busy kitchen and deliver exceptional service
  • Experience in leading a brigade of 8 chefs to achieve high standards
  • Good understanding of back of house systems
  • Responsible for ordering, stock control, achieving gross profit targets, roster preparation and health & safety controlling/implementation
  • Specialist in modern English and modern European cuisine
  • Previous experience working for a pub or where the menu was already set by the chain
  • Ability to serve up to high volume of covers (200-300 on busiest days)
  • From a high volume gastro pub background
  • Understanding of producing meals using ingredients chosen by the development chef while following the specs
  • Willingness to work up to 48 hours per week on five out of seven days
