Our client is looking to recruit a Kitchen Manager Head Chef for one of their restaurants in Birmingham. In return you will receive an excellent salary up to £32,000 plus £4,000 bonus, 28 days annual holidays, company paid courses, pension, mental & dental care, cycle scheme, discounts with major retailers and other company related benefits.
The employer is very keen on Kitchen Manager/Head Chef who can demonstrate the following and lead a team from the front:
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in the branded restaurant or pub industry.
- Ability to work under pressure in a very busy kitchen and deliver exceptional service.
- Drive a brigade of 8 chefs to achieve existing high standards.
- Good understanding of back of house systems.
- Responsible for ordering, stock control, achieving gross profit targets, roster preparation and health & safety controlling/implementation.
- Specialist in modern English and modern European cuisine.
The pub operation consists of people who are competent and flexible to work depending on demands of the business. The ideal candidate would have previous experience working for a pub or where the menu was already set by the chain and serve up to high volume of covers up to 200-300 covers on busiest days. These are busy venues and you need to be from a high volume gastro pub background.
The ideal Kitchen Manager/Head Chef will have a great understanding of producing meals using the ingredients chosen by the development chef while following the specs. As Kitchen Manager/Head Chef will be required to work up to 48 hours per week on five out of seven days per week.
