The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
We currently have a temporary opportunity within our Quality Assurance team, based at our facilities in Haverhill, Suffolk to cover a period on maternity leave.
The responsibilities/duties of the Quality Assurance Specialist include:
- Assisting with local authority, second and third-party audits.
- Performing Internal Audits as per Internal Audits Schedule to ensure compliance with Quality & Food Safety Management System and against the requirements of FSSC 22000 and customers’ standards.
- Creating & maintaining Quality & Food Safety Management System documentation.
- Coordinating the Food Safety Training for the site.
- Creating & maintaining Glass & Brittle Plastic Registers for all plants on site.
- Performing traceability exercises as required.
- Maintaining SAQ in SEDEX website.
- Performing trending as required to support continuous improvement.
- Completing allergen reviews in SAP for new materials introduced to the plant.
Required Skills:
- Certified Internal Auditor.
- Food safety and hygiene certification.
- Strong knowledge of FSSC 22000 & AIB standards.
- Microsoft Office skills, SAP QM Module, or any related system.
- Strong verbal and written English language skills.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of UK supermarket food safety & quality standards.
- Certified Lead Auditor qualification.
Required Experience:
- Experience working in QA position within Food/Flavours.
- Experience in Food/Flavours operations.
- Food Science Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent).
- Internal auditing experience.
