This site-based role is responsible for the safe, compliant, and reliable operation of the biological Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP). You will support daily operations, troubleshoot process issues, and drive continuous improvement to ensure wastewater discharge meets permit requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Own and monitor biological ETP performance to ensure stable operation and regulatory compliance.
- Optimise aeration, chemical dosing, sludge management, and overall treatment efficiency.
- Provide technical support to operators and resolve process upsets.
- Analyse process data, manage sampling and monitoring, and support audits and reporting.
- Lead or support improvement initiatives and changes using MOC principles.
- Promote strong health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Own and monitor the performance of the biological Effluent Treatment Plant to ensure stable operation and environmental compliance.
- Optimise key processes such as aeration, chemical dosing, and sludge management.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for day-to-day operations and process upsets.
- Analyse process and compliance data, manage sampling, and support audits and reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives while promoting strong health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Degree or equivalent experience in Chemical, Environmental, or related Engineering.
- Experience with industrial wastewater or effluent treatment processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and confidence working with process data.
- Knowledge of environmental permitting and compliance requirements.
