Status: Full-time, 12-month Fixed Term Contract Reports to: Director of Communicationsto the ISSB Job Purpose: We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Communications Associate to join our international team at the IFRS Foundation. In this job, you will play an important part in executing our global communications strategy for the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). This position offers an exceptional opportunity to develop a highly sought-after skill set that combines knowledge of global financial markets with strong communication skills. You will have the autonomy to contribute fresh ideas to our communications approaches. You will work with colleagues at all levels to gain diverse perspectives, broaden your international experience and advance your professional development. Principal accountabilities Lead on communication projects creating a full suite of communication outputs for each (covering press releases, messaging documents, website copy, social media and video), working closely with the technical leads and the Director of Communications. Be ready to translate complex information into clear and accessible content in various channels while paying close attention to technical accuracy. Plan and help produce audio-visual materials relating to ISSB projects, including managing outsourced tasks, creating in-house infographics and performing basic editing. Collaborate with colleagues in the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) communications team to ensure consistent messaging across the ISSB and the IASB. Stay alert to shifting themes in sustainability and flag key pieces of media coverage to the leadership. Manage ISSB social media channels (LinkedIn and X/Twitter), including social media strategy, plan/post content and analyse performance. Manage and maintain the ISSB’s external presentation slides and develop new content as required. Support the Foundation’s sustainability-related marketing initiatives. Ensure all communications adhere to the Foundation’s brand guidelines. Support senior leaders with presentations and speaking engagements. Keep track of media coverage and analyse social media effectiveness. Support the planning and management of multiple communications projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of all outputs. Engage regularly with technical teams both formally and informally to build strong stakeholder relationships. Read board papers and watch board meetings to gain a strong understanding of ISSB topics. Support the Director of Communications in ad hoc projects as needed. Qualifications & experience Master’s degree or a relevant graduate-level qualification is preferred. Relevant work experience in communications, preferably in a financial or regulatory environment, are valuable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Experience in writing for different media channels / writing about complex subjects for non-specialist audiences. Ability to understand technical subject areas. Experience in creating infographics on Canva.
