The International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) is looking for an experienced and proactive Funding and Partnership Development Manager to help us grow and diversify our funding. The international funding landscape is changing and securing funding increasingly means understanding what matters to prospective funders, building relationships and developing evidence-based programmes that align with shared priorities. We are looking for someone who understands this environment and enjoys the challenge of turning ideas and relationships into funded programmes.
About the role
Working closely with the Head of Business Development and Programmes, you will play a key role in identifying and developing new funding opportunities from philanthropic foundations, institutional donors and other potential partners. You will research and engage prospective funders, build and manage a pipeline of opportunities, and lead the development of concept notes and funding proposals, bringing together technical, financial and programme expertise to produce compelling and fundable applications.
About You
You will bring experience of securing funding from institutional donors and philanthropic foundations, preferably within global health or international development. You will know how to research and assess funding prospects, develop relationships with potential donors and recognise where FIGO’s priorities align with their interests. You will enjoy working with colleagues and FIGO’s scientific committees to develop and cost project ideas and have the confidence and judgement to move opportunities forward. You will be an excellent writer and have the skill to communicate complex ideas to a range of audiences. Experience in sexual, reproductive, maternal or newborn health or a related area is an advantage but is not essential.
Why join FIGO?
FIGO is the global voice for obstetricians and gynecologists and their professional associations, working to improve sexual, reproductive, maternal, newborn and adolescent health worldwide. This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in developing the funding and partnerships that enable this work, at a time when creative and strategic approaches to securing funding are more important than ever.
