Plan engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the English National Curriculum, adapt teaching to different learning needs, and monitor progress to build confidence and a positive attitude towards Mathematics.
Essential criteria
- Experience teaching primary Mathematics across Key Stages 1 and 2.
- Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum and primary assessment methods.
- Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly using practical activities, visual resources and digital tools.
- Experience adapting lessons for different abilities and providing constructive feedback.
- Strong communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and pupil wellbeing.
Desirable criteria
- QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification, with a relevant degree.
- Experience teaching online or within an international school.
- Confidence using Microsoft Teams and interactive digital teaching resources.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND or English as an Additional Language.
- Experience delivering targeted Mathematics interventions and enrichment activities.
- Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to curriculum development.
